A sculptural French-inspired writing desk that reads far more expensive than it is — the tooled leather top and hand-scrolled iron base give it the presence of a European antique with none of the fragility. At 60 inches wide with a slim 30-inch depth, it works equally well as a home office desk, a library table, or a dramatic entry console, and it is finished on all sides so it can float in the middle of a room. Pieces like this move quickly with designers and remote-work buyers, and one-of-a-kind estate examples rarely stay listed long.

The estate service behind this shop

Every piece here came out of a real home. VaultXL is a full-service estate transition and downsizing company — we sort, value, photograph and sell household belongings when a family downsizes or an estate settles, then hand the property back broom-clean.

  • Families keep 85% of every sale. Our 15% covers photography, research, listing, storage and buyer handling.
  • Flat project fees from $350 for a single room to $4,500 for a whole home — quoted after a free assessment, never billed hourly.
  • Jewelry, art, firearms and vehicles go to credentialed partner appraisers before anything is priced.

Serving Charlotte and the surrounding area. Other Carolinas metros are on a waitlist.
