Gabby's Alexandra dresser, a designer piece that sells new for $3,699. The cerused finish lets the wood grain show through a soft light-gray wash, and the gently flared top and shaped, splayed legs give it a tailored look. Eleven drawers give it the storage of two ordinary dressers. At 72 inches wide it works as a bedroom dresser, a media console or a dining-room buffet. It weighs about 194 lb, so bring two strong people and a vehicle that fits a 6-foot piece.
