• Subject: Terracotta pot of red geraniums on a terrace parapet with hills beyond, signed "Girard 78" in black at lower right; this Girard is a relative of the current owner, not a listed market artist

A terrace scene of potted red geraniums against distant blue-green hills, set in a heavy ornate gilt frame with a linen slip that suits a formal wall. The 1978 signature and long family history give it a personal, decades-old presence rather than a market attribution. Good scale for a stairwell, dining room, or hallway wall.
