MADOURA, NOT PICASSO, AND WE WILL NOT BLUR THAT. Madoura was the exclusive editor of Picasso's ceramics, and it also produced a large body of its own studio ware under the same roof. Picasso editions carry EDITION PICASSO alongside the Plein Feu stamp, normally with an edition number. No such mark is present here. These are Ramie workshop pieces and are offered as exactly that.

Which is its own thing worth having. The Ramies were serious potters before Picasso ever walked into Vallauris, and this matte green glaze over red clay is the house look at its best — quiet, tactile, and unmistakably French mid-century.
