Comic Book Collection, 423 Books Catalogued — Wolverine #1, Carnage, X-Force Sealed, 1988–1993 Marvel
423 comic books, catalogued into 28 identified groupings, sold as one collection. Every grouping has been examined, counted, graded by eye and described from the books in hand. Nothing here is an unsearched box.
Priced individually, this collection totals about $1,362
That figure is built book by book, not estimated. Each book was valued against its ungraded sold comparable — the price raw, unslabbed copies actually change hands for — and the 10 identified key books carry the individual prices they were separately listed at. No graded or slabbed comparables were used, because nothing in this collection is graded. For the record, the raw comparables alone, with no markup at all, total $1,095, and the 28 groupings were listed on this site separately at $1,112.
As one lot: $875.

Be clear about what this is
The weight of this collection is Marvel between 1988 and 1993 — the most heavily printed period in the medium's history. Most of these books are common, and they are priced as common. The value sits in three places: the identified keys at the top, the completeness of the runs, and the fact that somebody has already done the sorting. The two longboxes at the bottom are reader copies and partial runs, counted but not itemised, and are priced into the lot as bulk.
Condition
Estate condition, raw and ungraded throughout. The identified books grade VF to VF/NM by eye; the runs grade VF; the two longboxes run GD to VF. Expect the faults of books stored in a house for thirty years — spine ticks, corner wear, some colour-break on spines, occasional edge yellowing. Nothing here is slabbed or professionally graded, and no grade quoted is a CGC grade. A grading opinion given by eye is an opinion; viewing before purchase is welcome.
