PRODUCT DETAILS

• Brand: Unbranded / unmarked American furniture maker (no visible label or stamp)

• Material: Walnut and gum wood veneers over hardwood/poplar secondary wood, carved and applied wood ornament, cast brass oval back-plate pulls

• Dimensions: 37 in W x 19 in D x 55 in H

• Color/Finish: Medium-to-dark walnut "Old English" finish with matched book-leaf crotch veneer panels and orange/red polychrome diamond and reed accents

• Condition: Very Good vintage/antique - structurally sound, all drawers and the center cabinet door operate, original hardware appears complete; finish shows expected age patina, light surface scuffing and small ring/water marks on the top, minor veneer lifting/chipping at a lower drawer edge, decorative painted accents show mellowing. Drawers retain old floral and striped paper liners.

• Era/Period: c. 1920s-early 1930s, Depression-era Revival / early Art Deco transitional

• Weight: Approx. 170 lbs

• Configuration: Two-tier chest-on-chest (gentleman's chest / chifforobe style) - six small upper drawers flanking a center cabinet door concealing an open shelf and interior drawer, three carved accent drawers, and two deep full-width drawers

• Details: Shaped gallery backsplash, carved leaf capitals at the corners, pierced scalloped apron, turned bun feet on original brass roller casters

This is the kind of substantial, honestly-worn American antique that anchors a bedroom or entry the moment it lands - matched crotch-walnut veneers, a hidden center cabinet with its own interior drawer, and hand-painted orange diamond inlays you simply do not see on modern furniture. Everything works, the original brass pulls and casters are all there, and it is ready to use as-is or become a showpiece chalk-paint or refinish project. At a fraction of what a new dresser of this scale and quality would cost, it is a rare find for a collector, decorator, or anyone furnishing a period home.
